In 2017, how should the textile machinery industry seize this development opportunity and lay out future development?
Relevant statistics show that in 2016, the economic operation of the textile machinery industry continued to slow down, and the indicators were low. The import and export value of textile machinery products showed a year-on-year decline. In the first three quarters of 2106, the domestic key textile machinery enterprises completed the main business income of 28.608 billion yuan, down 3.13% year-on-year, accounting for 34.18% of the textile machinery industry; the total profit was 3.647 billion yuan, down 10.93% year-on-year. The proportion of textile machinery in the whole industry is 68.22%. The loss of loss-making enterprises was 208 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.90%, and the loss was 33.75%. According to customs statistics, in the first three quarters of 2016, the total import and export volume of China's textile machinery was US$4.136 billion, down 9.67% year-on-year. Among them, the export of textile machinery was 2.236 billion US dollars, down 5.70% year-on-year; the import was 1.000 billion US dollars, down 13.93% year-on-year. From the perspective of imported product categories, imports of auxiliary equipment and spare parts ranked first, with a total import value of US$423 million, down 1.22% year-on-year, accounting for 22.28% of total imports. Among the 7 major categories of imported products, only non-woven fabric machinery and knitting machinery were positive, with year-on-year growth of 24.73% and 4.19% respectively.
As various production costs have risen, in response to market changes, textile companies have increased their efforts in process technology and equipment transformation, which has also prompted textile machinery companies to continuously invest in smart manufacturing and research and development. At the same time, domestic large-scale textile equipment manufacturers have begun to gradually extend services to the downstream, and began to provide textile enterprises with full life cycle maintenance and support - providing personalized design, e-commerce and overall solutions and other forms of services.
It is foreseeable that in 2017, the global textile machinery will continue to show a trend of development towards intelligence, efficiency, energy conservation and environmental protection. Domestic textile machinery will have significant progress in reliability, numerical control, energy saving and appearance quality. In order to facilitate the management of textile mills, the application system based on Internet technology will have a huge development space.
With the environment faced by domestic textile enterprises, including bottlenecks in population, resources and environment, especially the rise in labor costs, the pace of industrial transfer is accelerating, so textile machinery will face more choices when going out. South Asia, Southeast Asia, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia and other countries are becoming the main destinations for China's textile machinery exports. The textile industry of these countries plays an important role in their national economy. In the future, various textile machinery and equipment will be equipped in these countries. There are important market opportunities in the new capacity and equipment upgrade process. Relevant people predict that in 2017, domestic textile machinery companies will continue to be enthusiastic about overseas markets.
